In 2014, Chicasa Manila was born from a shared love for design and craftsmanship, founded by two passionate creatives, Abi and Cla. The name “Chicasa” combines their surnames, Chiongbian and Castillo —and echoes their shared dream of designing a chic casa or home for creativity.
At the heart of it all, Chicasa Manila believes that good intentions ripple. By offering thoughtfully designed products, they do more than simply create —they share a piece of goodwill.

Cla, one of the founders, was raised in the U.S., and had always felt a disconnect from the language she grew up hearing but rarely spoke. Now a mother, she wanted a different story for her kids —a future where they could speak Filipino with pride and ease. Post-pandemic, as life slowly transitioned back to normal and schools reopened, she saw the perfect opportunity to relearn the language with her children. In 2023, Chicasa Kids was born.
Chicasa Kids believe that the Filipino language is worth preserving, and learning Tagalog becomes more than memorization —but a shared experience. Every card invites kids and adults alike to bond, and celebrate our heritage, creating a sense of tahanan in every moment.
